Community Read Aloud

We want to thank Ann Michaels for coordinating our Community Read Aloud.  Today our students enjoyed books read by so many important community members.  We appreciate all they do for our schools and were thankful to see so many of our beloved retirees return to Bancroft!

The Thankful Crew

This morning several students went out to greet our bus drivers with hot cocoa and a gift from the students.  We are VERY APPRECIATIVE of our bus drivers who have a difficult job but do so much to keep our students safe.

Mrs. King Reads to Kindergarten

Children in Mrs. C's Kindergarten class had a surprise guest when Mrs. King came to read to them!

Wacky Wednesday

Yesterday was a WACKY day at Bancroft.  Students and staff wore all kinds of creative outfits and we had a blast.  Tomorrow our students and staff will enjoy our annual sing-a-long and bid farewell to 2016!

Extreme Weather in the Maker Space

The fifth graders have been researching Extreme Weather in their Library classes.  They have researched using books and databases, created a Public Service Announcement Google slide (with citations for all of their research) and finally have been in the Maker Space creating "Survival Structures" for their type of Extreme Weather.  Their end document was a print advertisement for their structure protecting people from blizzards, tornadoes, droughts or hurricanes.  Here you see Mrs. Touseau's  and Mr. McCall's classes hard at work building their amazing structures and writing their advertisements in the Maker Space.
